I’m not going to fill this page up with loads of extender models, because honestly, it’s not necessary. All extenders work in exactly the same way, and do a roughly similar job. I’ve picked a couple from each price bracket (low/medium/high), and I’ve stuck to models which have a particularly good reputation for delivering a reliable signal over distance, which is what users need in most cases. I personally use TP Link models the most, which have always delivered good performance.

LOW PRICE RANGE ($20-30):
The Netgear EX3700 Wi-Fi Extender is an entry level, no nonsense extender model, which offers dual band support (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands) and covers up to 1500 sq ft and 15 devices. It’s got a small, compact design and also has an ethernet port to plug in devices like games consoles. It’s a good entry level model to try for your first range extender or for boosting over shorter distances.

The TP Link RE-315 Wi-Fi Extender again offer entry level pricing under $30, and also supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It offers excellent range for the price at around 1500 sq ft, and supports up to 30 devices. There’s also a WPS button for easy, quick pairing with your router.

MID RANGE EXTENDER MODELS ($40-50):
The Krevi Wi-Fi Extender is a superb mid range model, and provides a great, reliable signal and also has near universal router compatibility. Very high average review scores from thousands of reviews (almost maximum), indicating superb reliability and consistency, which is hard to get with extenders. WPS Button for easy connect within seconds. Supports Dual band. Highly recommended product if you want a reliable signal.
The Rock Space Dual Band Wi-Fi Extender is another mid level product that has been around a few years now and generally has good reliability. Supports dual band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and covers up to 1600 sq ft and 25 devices. Widespread router compatibility, and WPS button for quick setup within seconds. Good reputation, but not quite as strong as the Krevi Extender, which would still be our recommended mid range extender.

HIGHER END RANGE EXTENDERS ($60+)
The TP Link RE 450 Wi-Fi Extender has the best and most reliable reputation among higher end extender models, with very strong average reviews among lots of users. Covers up to 2500 sq ft (stronger range than other models), plus up to 35 devices. Very high router compatibility and a TP Link Tethering app to set up on your phone easily. Supports dual band as all modern extenders do. Strong, reliable higher end model for use over larger spaces.

Disclaimer – Note that even buying extender brands with a good reputation and solid reviews, no one can guarantee 100% that an extender will work for every person in every situation, since Wi-Fi performance and home setup is so variable. It may take some persistence and trying the extender in a few different locations to get a reliable signal, and in some cases they may not work effectively at all. In these cases, consider other options like Powerline adapters or Mesh Systems.
