Yes, we absolutely accept that a coffee table has a serious, functional role to play in the living room — a solid, reliable surface for said coffee. But a beautifully styled coffee table has the power to stop us mid-scroll and think, “How do people do that? Can I be people?”

The fashion coffee table books are just-so, the objects du art ideal and the flowers seasonal and sensational. It’s not magic or money (mostly) or a major in interior design — there’s an equation to styling a coffee table, and you can solve it. So, let’s pull back the curtain, sharpen our pencils and take notes on how to style one like a pro.

Restoration Hardware Reclaimed Oak Parsons Coffee Table sits in a bright modern living room with a huge white sectional couch and a wooden credenza for a Home Network post on how to style a coffee table
Restoration Hardware

1. What’s Your Deal

First, evaluate who the space is actually for and how the coffee table will be used. If it’s in the family room, it will have a different set of set-up criteria than one in a home office.

If kids are in the mix, heads up: They will break things and weighty tomes can break tiny toes. So don’t put out anything too precious or hefty. In an exclusively adult area, put out books and unique pieces that reflect your personal interests and personality.

Be conscious that, first and foremost, a coffee table needs to serve its purpose — hold cups, plates and sometimes feet — so hold back on filling up every inch. And definitely have coasters on hand because drink rings aren’t part of this design plan!

Parsons Reclaimed Oak Coffee Table, Restoration Hardware, $4,395.

2. Three’s Company

When styling any surface — be it a coffee table, bookshelf or even a floor — get familiar with the rule of three. This is the interior design trick of only using three objects in a grouping. Now, this works for three different items — say a vase, a book and a bowl — but also groups of items within those items. Huh?

Right, OK, so three flower stems in the vase, three books in the stack, or three precious stones into the bowl. You can branch out and have more of anything, of course, but try limiting each group of objects to an odd number and see the visual harmony that creates.

3. Growth Spurt

When choosing special objects for your display, select pieces that have a variety of heights and widths. Their contrasting sizes work as a visual foil, each one highlighting the other, taking your eye on a journey from the bottom up.

If all your chosen items sit within the same size zone, fear not. Utilize stacks of magazines, art books, or decorative trays to create elevated platforms and raise them up to where they belong.

4. Textbook Texture

Let’s be honest; working with a limited neutral colour palette is the simplest way to make a table display feel cohesive. Whites, cream, browns, metallics and black are a lot easier to put together than pinks, greens and purples (at first, at least).

But that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun off the hop. Tapping into textures and mixing up materials is where that inner interior-designer comes out to play. An antique bent wood box, a chestnut-and-cream marble bust, or a tall handwoven willow basket are anything but boring.

5. Sectioned Off

To give the large, flat surface area of a coffee table some visual separation, divide it up into distinctive sections. This can be done with stacks of books or magazines, shallow baskets or decorative trays. Play around with their placement; use them alone, or as a base for smaller displays (remember the rule of three here too).

Plank Rectangular Coffee Table, EQ3, $1,199.

6. Tray Chic

If you were to buy one decorative item to begin your coffee-table-styling journey, it would be an eye-catching tray. A tray placed in the centre of the table provides the perfect physical border for more delicate decorative objects.

Limiting the styling to inside the tray’s edges allows for a quick display change as the season, or mood, changes. Try contrasting shapes, such as a round tray on a rectangular table or a square tray on a round table, and look for unexpected materials.

7. Book Ended

Large, beautifully produced coffee table books continue to be a staple of interior styling for good reason — they’re big, they’re bold, and they speak volumes about their owners. Stacked up, they provide a sturdy pedestal for a vase or sculpture; flipped open, they tell a story about the resident’s personal interests and taste.

Books reflect what matters to us, and coffee table books have the ability to shout that out — in the prettiest visual way possible.

Malibu Rectangular Woven Coffee Table, Pottery Barn, $1,799 – $2,067.

8. One Thing Is Not Like the Other

The key to an intriguing coffee table display is to always have one unexpected object that comes with a story. This can be an unusual family heirloom, a souvenir from your honeymoon, or a miniature antique chess set that guests can play. The point of this piece is to get people talking and connecting in your home — the power of intentional interior design is real, people!

9. Not-a-Table Coffee Table

The last tip on how to style a coffee table: You don’t always have to use a “coffee table.” An old steamer trunk, repurposed shipping palettes, or a traditional tufted ottoman all fulfill the coffee-table function brief. Thinking outside the box has always been encouraged when it comes to innovative design.

So, go forth, style that table and see what sort of unexpected beauty you can bring into your own living room this year.

As we’ve entered 2025, our feeds are flooded with fresh design trends for kid’s bedrooms — and we’re selecting our standouts. Thanks to a wave of celebrity-designer collabs (and straight-up celebrity collabs), the kids-bedroom design world is getting a major glow-up.

Gone are the gendered room colours, clunky silhouettes, and the singular, heavy-handed themes. The new trends are pulling inspiration from the greater adult-design world, and translating it for tiny tastemakers in training. This year, while proportions and playfulness remain age appropriate, kid’s bedroom designs will grow up in a big way.

But since children’s spaces have such specific (yet ever-changing) needs, function has long outranked form. Babies need change tables, toddlers need toy shelves, and bigger kids need study stations. Thankfully, many emerging trends in 2025 will merge the two, giving parents what they really want — a space that reflects their personal style, but with lots and lots of hidden storage!

1. All About That (Neutral) Base

Looking at trending paint colours for kid’s bedroom design in 2025, it’s clear neutral is far from neutral — it’s a very active player. Whites, creams, greys, taupes: these barely-there tints provide a solid base, allowing for more creativity in the long run. In fact, by keeping the room’s walls, floors and furnishings colour-free, it’s easier (and more economical) to update the bedding, artwork or peel-and-stick wallpaper as your child’s interests change.

2. Fantasy Land

Now, if we were to pick one particular creature or animal that’s dominating the 2025 kid’s bedroom design trends, it would be the dragon. But unlike past trend cycles, skip splattering this au courant animal everywhere (we see you, hedgehog, fox and sloth!) and go subtle. Indeed, a simple, easy-to-remove wall decal here or a soft Jellycat dragon there is all you need to fulfill this dreamy, dragon-decorating fantasy.

3. Bonker Beds

In 2025, children’s bed designs are levelling up. A basic twin tucked into the corner isn’t going to cut it anymore; these next-level kid’s beds are making a serious design statement. Leading the way is the Perch Twin Bunk Bed, which has been a best-seller since it debuted in 2009. This unique bunk bed can be modified for those who want to separate the beds into a loft and twin bed. There’s even the option to add a trundle to the lower bunk, making it the perfect choice for small spaces, growing families and of course, sleepovers!

4. Arch You Glad to See Me

An overarching (no pun intended) trend in kid’s bedroom design, furnishings and accessories for 2025 is the liberal use of the arch. For example, table corners are rounded, bed frames are curved and soft accessories are round and squishy. These gentle curves and soft arches create a visual sense of comfort and safety in children’s spaces.

5. Smart Design, Every Time

Many parents are maxed out — on time, money and energy. So when they invest in a new piece for their child’s bedroom, it needs to do a lot of heavy lifting. Author, parent and fashion tastemaker Eva Chen intrinsically understood this brief when she designed her kid’s room collection with West Elm. For this trend, each piece must perform multiple functions that go beyond its main purpose, such as her curved, Fair Trade Certified reading nook chair, which also has two built-in book displays.

6. It’s Grow Time

Babies grow into toddlers, toddlers into kids, and kids into gangly teenagers. As their bodies change, so do the needs of their bedroom. As a result, transitional furniture is one way we can stave off spending a fortune on new furniture every few years. Dressers come with changing-pad inserts, nursing chairs turn into reading nooks and cribs convert to toddler beds. In 2025, look for well-designed transitional pieces that can extend right into adolescence. In fact, West Elm already has a number of cool crib styles (see above) that, with the purchase of a conversion kit and larger mattress, can be transformed into a fully functional double bed!

7. Heritage Moments

In 2025, not only will kid’s furniture design aim to stand the test of time, the materials themselves will also invoke a sense of nostalgia. Heritage materials, such as rattan, quilted fabrics and raw linen, absolutely add natural texture. Nonetheless, it’s their raw, timeless quality that sparks the storyteller. It’s easy to imagine the hands that stitched a vintage bed throw, or reflect on the tenacity of rattan harvester, climbing up towering palms. Each piece was touch by human hands, connecting us through time-honoured crafts and throughout time, with no concern for trends.

8. The “Fifth” Wall

Break the “fifth” wall of bedroom-design conventions and look straight up — the ceiling is an under-utilized canvas on which creativity can flow. So, keep the walls simple and let the ceiling pull focus, or directly integrate it into the wall-treatment plan. No matter which way you cut it, ceilings will be a big part of the big picture when it comes to kid’s bedroom design productions in 2025.

Mulitple pieces from Eva Chen's collaborative collection with West Elm Kids make up this lively kids bedroom design, including a raise bookshelf bed, a dresser, wall mirror, adjustable work desk and a colourful rug.

9. Flexspace Flex

With more than a third of Canadians living in apartments, earmarking rooms for one specific purpose isn’t always an option. Furthermore, kid’s rooms must be many things: bedroom by night, study after school, playroom/library/storage space in between.

In 2025, this trend turns kid’s bedrooms into fun flexspaces, where organization, functionality and flexibly are all high priorities. Fashion (and now family) tastemaker Eva Chen’s reading-focused capsule collection for West Elm Kids perfectly encapsulates this modern move. That is, most pieces can be flipped, switched or swung around to perform another task or support another stage in a kid’s life.

Eva Chen for West Elm Kids, West Elm Kids, $29-$3,749.

10. For Kids, Not Kitsch

This sophisticated kid’s bedroom design trend is all about making the space feel youthful but not juvenile. So, dark-wood foundational pieces, such as the Rachel Hazelnut Wood Kids Canopy Bed by Jeremiah Brent for Crate & Kids, rich materials and substantial window treatments are its grounding features. But the playfulness is there in the wall treatments, textiles and accessories, which abound with pretty patterns, unexpected colours and nods to nature.

We’re entering a brand new year, and with another turn around the sun comes a bright future of trends and home styles to look forward to. If you want to get ahead of this year’s hot looks and coveted styles, read on to see what Pinterest predicts as the biggest trends of 2025.

Cherry Coded

Cherry vibes will be a thing in 2025, from makeup and cars to martinis and bedrooms. If you want to integrate cherry into your home decor, think about adding thoughtful accents like vases, photo frames, or even a cherry wall.

Aura Beauty

When it comes to makeup, an aura aesthetic will trend in 2025. Think blues, purples and golds, with a mood-ring look. To embrace aura in your home, think about adding crystals or mood-enhancing throws and pillows.

Rococo Revival

Rococo, also known as the late Baroque period, was a time of dramatic style and architecture with excessiveness, soft colors, and curvy lines. The trend is re-emerging this year with corset gowns and luxe accessories. Consider creating an ornate tablescape if you want to implement a little rococo at home.

Seawitchery

Ursula is having a moment with this siren-inspired style, which involves purple and pearly hues, wavy moods and the return of the wet-hair look. Add a touch to your home with pearl finishes and ocean-themed accents.

Surreal Soirees

Modern surrealism is back, and it’s all about using dreamlike landscapes and contrasting textures and elements. Pinterest predicts the trend will be particularly popular with home decor this year, with elegant flowers, table settings and decor.

Castlecore

If ancient castles and gothic inspiration are your thing, you’ll be hyped to know they’re making a comeback in home decor this year. Think chalices, candelabras, or ornate embellishments on cabinets, giving your room that castlecore you crave.

Dolled Up

Cute and pretty is the trending theme behind this look, which involves babydoll makeup and whimsical colours. Watch for “cutecore” rooms with pinks, stuffed animals and a few extra frills.

Fisherman Aesthetic

Cozy and comfy is the idea behind the “effortlessly cool” fisherman look in 2025. In real life, that translates to knits, tattoos, and stripes, but you can bring the look to your home with ocean-themed accessories, corals, and blues.

Goddess Complex

Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Taylor and other queens are the inspiration behind this trend, which is all about embracing female power. And what embraces divinity better than gold? Gold accents and accessories are back for 2025, giving a goddess aesthetic to your home.

Rebel Floats

Nostalgia continues to be big in 2025, but now it’s translating into old-school drinks. Cream soda and root beer aesthetics were two of the trending search terms Pinterest found, along with more searches for homemade soda. Serve up some traditional soda at your next home gathering to get into the trend, in some vintage, of course.

Terra Futura

Solar punk is on the horizon for 2025, proving that sustainable living is still very much a hot topic of conversation. That means recycled furnishings and accents will be hot for the home, but so will gardening and community spaces. Chaos gardening, in which you throw a handful of seeds into the ground and hope for the best, is also a trending search term, so be on the lookout for some creative and unique plants and gardening ideas come spring.

Primary Play

The year 2025 is all about child’s play, according to Pinterest, and specifically evoking your inner child. That means playful spaces in the home with bright colours and hand-painted accessories. Get into the theme by splashing colour on furniture, giving cupboards a new look, or creating a contrast trim throughout your house.

Pickle Fix

If you’re obsessed with pickles, you aren’t the only one. The jarred cucumbers have become so popular that they’re trending in the food space in 2025, with everything from pickle cakes to pickle margaritas on the horizon. Take inspiration in the home with some thoughtful green accents or perhaps a pickle-printed throw pillow or blanket.

The hippie aesthetic is getting a modern upgrade with the addition of leather, boots, and more masculine touches. Pair these textures with soft fringe and airy vibes to create a balanced look. Think hard lines or dark accent walls coupled with softer textiles or leafy plants.

Peak Travel

The mountains are calling Gens Z and X in 2025, with mountain vacations and looks trending on Pinterest searches. Bring those airy mountain vibes into the home with warm throws, plush blankets and candles. Wallpaper, wood accents and natural finishes can also go a long way in creating that après-ski look.

Chaos Cakes

Forget refined and classy. Cakes in 2025 will be designed to celebrate in complete chaos. Silly, weird, wacky and colourful are the way to go, according to searches. At home, that means embracing your own style in a bold and meaningful way, with pieces that showcase your personality in full.

Player One

As reality and virtual continue to collide, the video game aesthetic is blending into fashion and home decor, too. Create the look with bright, bold colours, gaming chairs and accessories like neon signs or posters.

Mix & Maximalist

Forget minimalism; 2025 is about embracing everything you love to the max. Layers, bold patterns, unique prints and textures are the cornerstones of the maximalist look. Mix and match fabrics, wall decor, paint and wallpaper for a colourful and vibrant look that’s perfectly on trend.

Seeing Double

Matching is the rage in 2025, whether you’re considering date night looks or bestie manicures. At home, roommates and couples can easily take inspiration from the trend with mirrored bedroom decor, bathrooms with dual vanities, or shared home office spaces.

Nesting Parties

Move over baby showers because nesting parties are the new trend taking over growing families in 2025. The look can also translate into home decor with cozy fabrics, organized pantries, and cute meal-prepping boards adorning kitchen walls and fridges.

‘Tis the season, so we’re all digging out the tinsel, detangling the strings of lights and thinking of ways to distract the cat. All that’s still needed is the tree. So, you’re probably thinking of driving out to a tree farm: natural is always better, right? “Not necessarily,” the experts say. “Wait,” you might ask. “Are artificial Christmas trees more eco-friendly than real ones, then?” Let’s look at the lowdown to find the answer.

Related: Yule Love How This Tiny Home Has Been Transformed Into a Winter Wonderland

The Lowdown on Real Trees

One of the biggest reasons people think of real Christmas trees as eco-friendly is that they’re biodegradable. Once the holiday season is over, you just throw out the tree, and nature will take care of it: at least, that’s what happens if you first chip it and dispose of it correctly. If it just ends up in the landfill, it produces methane gas as it decomposes: to a CO2 equivalent of 16 kg for a tree that’s 2 m tall, according to the Carbon Trust.

There’s also the matter of where the tree comes from. Intense, unsustainable farming methods can actually be bad for the environment: they can cause a loss of biodiversity as they displace the natural ecosystems that were there before. This is an even bigger problem if the farm doesn’t use natural ways to keep pests out. “Wild-harvested” trees aren’t the answer either: that’s just another word for deforestation and all the problems that come with it, like chopping down certain tree species to the verge of extinction and destroying the homes of birds, insects and other woodland critters.

The Lowdown on Artificial Trees

So when it comes to comparing real versus fake Christmas trees, are artificial trees the better option? Yes and no.

Artificial indoor trees are versatile enough for all the latest holiday trends because they’re usually made of plastic that will take hundreds of years to fully decompose. And then we’re not even talking about the humongous carbon footprint of producing that plastic in the first place. However, you’ll probably reuse that tree next year and the year after that. Considering the average artificial tree has a carbon footprint of about 40 kg CO2, after a little over four years of use, the carbon footprint will be the same as if you’d left a real tree in the landfill. If you buy a tree of such high quality that you can use it for many years to come, it will have been the better choice, at least in terms of carbon footprint. By the time the tree is too tatty to use anymore, new technology may have found a way to safely dispose of it.

What’s the Alternative?

It’s clear that there are too many factors at play to say without a doubt whether it’s better to get an artificial Christmas tree or a real one. So why not try alternatives?

The most eco-friendly Christmas tree there is is one of the native plants you already have growing in your garden. Simply add some LED lights, and voilà!

But let’s be realistic: nobody wants to open presents outside in a Canadian winter. The solution? Get a live potted tree. You won’t be killing a tree or destroying an ecosystem to make your home smell like Christmas all year long. With wildfires and severe frost having already wreaked havoc on the supply of farmed trees – and the outlook for the future not looking much better – you won’t ever have to worry about the Great Christmas Tree Shortage. Just keep the cat distracted.

The beginning of the year is an exciting time to forecast design trends of the year and see them unfold in the coming months. And who better to predict the upcoming designs that we’ll be seeing pop up more over the next year than the talented folks who you love to watch transform spaces like Sarah Baeumler, Ali Budd and Kristen Coutts?

From the colours that you can expect to see stealing the show to the feeling that designers are most often trying to capture through their designs, we’re sharing our top predictions for home trends in 2025.

Paint Trends for 2025

Limewash Paint

An image of a woman painting a wall with limewash paint in a neutral cream
Bauwerk Colour

House of Ali star Ali Budd shares her favourite paint trend for the upcoming year: limewash walls. She acknowledges that white walls will always have their important place in design — it’s undeniable — but by choosing a limewash paint like Bauwerk Colour’s range, you can add interest while still maintaining a clean colour palette. “Bauwerk’s limewash is a go-to for adding texture and warmth, with an incredible color selection to suit any space,” she shares.

Accent Ceilings

An accent wall has always been a great way to add a focal point to the room and incorporate a pop of colour. Beer Budget Reno‘s Kristen Coutt’s thinks that accent wall taken even higher, literally. “I love a good accent wall, and I think 2025 will be the year of accent ceilings!”

Warm Tones

This year will be all about rich colours that add warmth to your home. Sarah Baeumler shares that for her, 2025 will bring continued focus on warm tones and textures. Kristen Coutt’s adds her take: “We’ll see bolder colour palettes including richer reds and moodier tones.”

Cozy Comfort

High Quality Linens

More people will be making purchasing choices that put comfort first in 2025, says our talent. “For that final touch of luxury, high-quality bedding is essential,” Ali Budd shares. Her recommendation? “The Sferra Collection from The Rest by Sleep Country is my personal favorite; I’m absolutely obsessed.”

Functional and Uncluttered Spaces

Creating “cozy yet uncluttered spaces that prioritize comfort” will be a top theme for designs in 2025, according to Sarah Baeumler. Always clean, yet warm in her designs, she predicts that we’ll be seeing more “functional furniture and decor that doesn’t overwhelm the senses, promoting a sense of relaxation at home.”

Vintage Charm

’70s-inspired Spaces

Kristen Coutts predicts retro-inspired design, particularly those inspired by the funky trends of the 1970’s, will be a common theme that design lovers will be leaning into this coming year.

Sourcing Secondhand Furniture

Another prediction from Sarah is that there will be an uptick in secondhand furniture sourcing, a trend that eco conscious design lovers can celebrate. “We are seeing these unique pieces on their own and combined with contemporary design elements to evoke nostalgia. This may include sourcing vintage furniture, artwork, and accessories that tell a story while seamlessly fitting into modern interiors,” she shares. “Mixing old and new creates a unique aesthetic, allowing personal expression and adding character to any space.”

Going Organic

Organic Shapes

Don’t be surprised to see more furniture with curved and organic shapes. 2025 is not the year of blocky furniture, per Kristen Coutts. Instead, expect to see more playful curves that add interest to spaces.

Natural Finishes

“This year, interiors will be all about bringing nature closer than ever,” Sarah proclaims. Spaces will share a deeper connection to the outdoors by bringing in natural stones and darker wood tones.

Warm and Natural Lighting

The best way to bring the warmth of the sunshine inside is through large windows that prioritize natural light in rooms, something we can expect to see reflected across designs in 2025. Plus, we’ll see more folks using warm lighting through choice lighting fixtures.

Have you heard about the Home Depot Christmas tree that’s gone viral? If not, you might just be living under a rock (or just really good at avoiding social media!). In the past few days, TikTok has been ablaze with videos of users setting up their beloved Grand Duchess Balsam Fir Christmas trees from Home Depot. So much so that the hashtag #viralchristmastree has garnered more than 70 million views on the popular social media app. So what’s all the fuss about?

Viral Home Depot Christmas tree with lights turned on
Home Depot

Why This Home Depot Tree Is So Popular

According to TikTok fans, this 7.5 foot artificial Christmas tree is unique because it’s pre-lit with more than 2,000 colour-changing LED lights that are controlled by a remote control. It also features over 3,000 branch tips, which give it a thick foliage look, and memory wire branch tips so it maintains its shape after coming out of storage. According to The Home Depot Canada’s Decorative Holiday Merchant, Konstance Sevastos, the tree is “easy to set up and control and brings festive cheer to your home with either warm white or colourful lights.” The result is pretty spectacular if you’re into bold and bright Christmas decor.

Potential Cons of the Viral Tree

However, if 2,000 shiny lights seems like a bit much in terms of LEDs in your living room, you’re not alone. Last year, some buyers noted that the lights were too bright and giving them a headache. While this year’s new and improved Grand Duchess tree comes with a dimmer featuring 11 light functions, 2,000 LEDs may still be too much for some. The price is also somewhat steep as this tree will set you back a whopping $498. While the tree is currently in stock online and in-stores, if last year’s sold-out status is any indication, this year’s Grand Duchess tree is sure to fly off shelves, too.

If you’re still on the fence about an artificial Christmas tree with so many lights, perhaps these more subtle (and cheaper!) alternatives are a better fit…

Ombre pink and white Christmas tree from Home Depot

A Stylish Pink Christmas Tree

If you’re a fan of the colour pink and still want to make a statement this holiday season, this ombre pink and white Christmas tree will do just the trick. Though it doesn’t contain as many lights as the viral Grand Duchess tree (500 lights compared to 2,250), it does measure 7.5 feet tall so it’s still sure to make a big impact. Plus, it’s less than half the price of the viral Home Depot tree which we can all agree on is a very good thing.

If space is really tight in your household, a pencil Christmas tree might be your best bet. We’re digging this classic pine fir option that comes in various heights ranging from five to seven feet tall. Plus, at just over $100, it’s also quite an affordable option for those looking to save a few bucks.

I don’t know about you, but my kids are at the BEST age for trick or treating, and the last thing I want to do is miss out on the fun! But I still want a fun way to greet trick-or-treaters who stop by our house while we’re out. Because our neighbourhood is always super busy with little ones and big kids at heart, a not-too-spooky treat station was in order.

I set out to create one with three things in mind: it had to be cheap, easy, and cute! This cute DIY Halloween candy stand doesn’t require much time, effort, or craft skills.  Without further adieu, here’s how to create the cutest Halloween candy stand for the little ghosts and goblins knocking at your door.

materials to make a DIY Halloween stand

Materials Required:

  • Small utility cart
  • 2×4 lumber cut to 36 inches each
  • Large white Dollar Store plant pot
  • Clear Dollar Store bowl
  • Zip Ties
  • 3x Drop Sheets
  • Black Felt
  • Scissors
  • Drill

Step 1: Build the Stand

Drill some holes in the bottom of your plant pot so you can secure it to the top of the cart. I used a drill to make four holes, placed it on the cart’s top shelf and used zip ties to secure it.

tub and cart to make a Halloween stand

I wanted my friendly ghost to have arms, so for this, I took a piece of 2×4 and attached it to the underside of the top shelf of the utility cart using more zip ties. The skeleton of the cart is done! Super easy, right?

Step 2: Make Your Friendly Ghost

Afterwords, take three white Dollar Store drop sheets (I used three because they were thin and a bit see-through on their own) and layered them on top of the zip-tie-cart creation. I took some scissors and rounded out the bottom edges of the sheets. Using some black felt, cut out two oval eyes and use a glue gun to stick them on for a minimal face. Isn’t he cute?

Step 3: Add the Final Touches

Finally, take a large bowl that fits in the top of the plant pot and press it down, securing the sheets and finishing your treat station.  Take the ghost candy stand outside and fill the bowl with candy. I styled him with a chalkboard sign, some pumpkins and a little treat bucket. And there you have it, the cutest DIY Halloween candy standHappy haunting!
