The signs seem to indicate that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are selling their luxurious Beverly Hills’ estate. According to press reports, the couple has listed the house they bought for an eye-popping US$60.8 million just last year.

The massive 46,000-square-foot property sits on a five-acre lot surrounded by a sea of luxe estates owned by Hollywood’s rich and famous. The sprawling main building features 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a gym, a sports lounge and a bar. If you’ve got friends coming for the weekend, no worries. There’s a 5,000-square-foot guest house for your besties. Parking won’t be an issue with the estate’s 12-car garage. And your security force will have all the comforts of home in the two-bedroom guard house.

Although the actual listing price hasn’t been revealed, it’s rumoured that Lopez and Affleck are asking around US$65 million. The couple had upgraded the property with numerous renovations, so even if they get the asking price, it might represent a loss for the pair. They’ll also have to contend with a new California state tax on ultra-luxury properties. Ouch!

Multiple reports say Lopez and Affleck are selling the house because of marital trouble. The couple was married in 2022 after rekindling their previous romance. Speculation about the couple’s relationship has grown after Lopez was recently spotted house-hunting.

Lopez and Affleck acquired the Beverly Hills’ estate in 2023 after searching for their dream home for two years. With its expansive grounds, luxurious amenities and prime location, the property seemed to be the ideal family compound for the couple’s blended household.

The Hiltons are exiting the Hamptons. Or at least, they’ll no longer frequent the vacation hot spot while staying at their Southhampton retreat. Records show that Rick and Kathy Hilton have listed their vacation home for a cool $14.95 million. 

The two-story, six-bedroom home is listed with The Corcoran Group and real estate agent Jared Seligman, who declined comment. According to the listing, however, the house is “located in the gated community once home to the Historic Henry Ford Estate.”

The listing also notes that this is the first time the house is available for purchase in 25 years. According to The Wall Street Journal, the Hiltons purchased the home in 1999 for $2.4 million. Not bad for 10,500 square feet of living space and 2.7 private acres.

The family has done some extensive renovations since then, of course. There are 7.5 bathrooms, spacious guest quarters, a three-car garage, a Porte Cochere and a recently renovated living space. The listing also makes note of the finished basement, which features “substantial accommodations for both guests and staff.”

The main living space is equally impressive thanks to the double-height foyer and curving staircase, formal living and dining rooms, a library, and not one, not two, but three wood-burning fireplaces.

As for the kitchen? It’s a gourmet space with all the high-end appliances you’d expect, plus a giant island.

So why are the Hiltons selling such an impressive estate? According to WSJ, the grandparents-to-seven no longer use it enough. The pair have lived in Los Angeles since 2000, and they’ve been getting to the Hamptons less and less. 

Currently, the Hiltons’ primary residence is a 1920s stone manor house in Bel Air. That home is not to be confused with the Bel Air Spec House Hilton showed off during her two seasons as a guest star on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. After listing that home in 2021 for $55 million, Hilton finally sold it in January for $25 million.

Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Charles Spencer, has listed the family’s magnificent childhood home on the upscale rental site Elysian Estates. The massive estate, commonly referred to as Althorp House, is where Princess Di moved when she was 14 years old, and where she lived when she eventually met Prince Charles in 1977.

While a per-night price for the estate is not listed (it’s only available upon request), guests can expect to pay tens of thousands of dollars for a single night, as butler service, a team of private chefs, housekeeping and of course, a dedicated concierge service, is included with each stay.

The Spencer family’s ancestral home dates back to 1688 and features 38 bedrooms, 33 bathrooms and sleeps up to 72 people. The property boasts parking for 50 cars and features a helipad, chapel, billiards room and unique collection of fine art. The estate sits on 550 acres in Northamptonshire, England, which is less than 1.5 hours from London by train.

According to the listing, “To stay at Althorp is to become part of the amazing history of this magnificent property, renowned for its discreet yet spectacular hospitality to guests including royalty and aristocracy since 1508.”

The massive estate is also the perfect spot for a special event, as it can host up to 1,000 guests. The listing goes on to state: “Althorp has been an important part of England’s history, with many influential political meetings, courtly balls, and even a secret marriage taking place within the walls.”

“Sir John stipulated in his will that the house must be used as a place of entertainment, and now more than ever Althorp offers an unforgettable setting for hosting exceptional occasions, with discreet service, exquisite cuisine, spectacular surroundings and a wonderful sense of history all combined with 21st century luxury.”

This isn’t the first time that late Diana’s childhood home has been made available to the public. In 2013, her brother (pictured above) faced a slew of criticism for listing the property for £25,000 per night to tourists via a travel firm.
